# Changelog

Platform, CLI, manifest, and API changes that affect what you build on Tanomis, newest first.

Changes that affect what you build, newest first. Each entry names the surface it touches and
links to the page that describes it.

## September 2026

### 8 September

- **CLI.** Tanomis v0.2.0 renames the command to `tanomis`. The installer includes a deprecated
`cog` shim; existing `COG_*` settings and the legacy config directory remain supported.
New installs use `TANOMIS_*` settings and the Tanomis config directory. See
  [Install Tanomis](/getting-started/install).
- **Docs and domains.** Developer docs and downloads move to `docs.tanomis.com` and
  `get.tanomis.com`. Old Cogward docs and download links redirect to the same path on Tanomis;
previously published `cog/` release objects remain unchanged.
- **Coding agents.** Register the bundled docs MCP server with `tanomis skills install`, or run
it directly with `tanomis docs serve`. See [Use with coding agents](/getting-started/coding-agents).

- **CLI.** `cog` v0.1.1 adds the platform skills for coding agents and the documentation
server. `cog skills install` writes four skills (build, deploy and roll out, run and debug,
govern) for Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor and registers `cog docs serve`, an MCP server
over these docs. See [Build with a coding agent](/getting-started/coding-agents).

### 6 September

- **CLI.** `cog` v0.1.0 is the first public release. Install on macOS and Linux with
  `curl -fsSL https://get.cogward.com/install.sh | sh`, on Windows with
  `irm https://get.cogward.com/install.ps1 | iex`. Every release carries `SHA256SUMS` and a
keyless cosign signature. See [Install cog](/getting-started/install).

### 5 September

- **Platform.** Organization-owned automation credentials ship: create a machine client in the
  Console or with `cog m2m create`, choose the `observe`, `invoke`, or `deploy` profile, rotate
and revoke. See [Automation credentials](/guides/deploy/automation-credentials) and
  [Authenticate a backend](/guides/run/authenticate-your-backend).
- **CLI.** `cog m2m` manages machine clients; `cog agent deploy --scope global --tenants all`
registers an agent once and enables it for every tenant. See the [Quickstart](/getting-started/quickstart).
- **Docs.** The site is reorganized around the agent journey: a new Overview,
  [Quickstart](/getting-started/quickstart), [Platform model](/concepts/platform-model), and
[What is available where](/reference/availability). Pages marked **Soon** describe capabilities
  being built.

### 4 September

- **CLI.** `cog login` can select a workspace, and `cog workspace show` prints the selection.
See [Authenticate and select a workspace](/getting-started/authenticate-and-select-workspace).
- **Platform.** Durable questions and permission requests pause a run until a person answers
through the Platform API. See [Approval-required actions](/guides/run/approval-required-actions).
- **Platform.** Agent identity modes and the authorization contract are documented. See
  [Identity and access](/concepts/identity-and-access).

### 2 September

- **API.** The customer Platform API reference is published: sessions, runs, event streaming,
human interactions, and session files. See [Platform API](/api).

## August 2026

### 29 August

- **Manifest.** `network.egress` declares the destinations a version may reach, bounded by the
  tenant ceiling. See [Agent manifest](/reference/agent-manifest#network).

### 28 August

- **Manifest.** The complete `agent.yaml` field reference is published, including cross-field
rules and pre-build validation. See [Agent manifest](/reference/agent-manifest).
