# Data handling and retention

What Tanomis stores about your sessions, runs, files, and traces, for how long, and who can read it.

Tanomis keeps two records with different retention and access rules, plus session workspaces and files. The exact retention periods and encryption options are being confirmed for publication.

This page is planned and not yet written, because the capability it describes is not yet
generally available. The structure is here so you can see where it fits; the notice comes off
when it ships.
