tanomis agent new NAME [flags]Description
Section titled “Description”Scaffold a new agent from a harness template into <agents-root>/<NAME>.
--agents-root defaults to dev/agents (the monorepo convention) but accepts any path, absolute or relative, including a directory outside this repo (e.g. an external agent repo cloned on its own). The generated agent is self-contained (agent.yaml, Python source, pyproject.toml, README, .gitignore, .tanomisignore) and has no monorepo-only assumptions, so it deploys with ‘tanomis agent deploy’ unmodified.
The manifest is production-ready as generated: it carries a live authorization contract (a scope_ceiling declaring the agent’s own model, plus allowed_audiences). Golden snapshots are platform-managed to accelerate startup. Dependencies are locked with uv when it is available, which a remote build requires.
