Export an auditor package

1 min readUpdated

An auditor package is an export of a slice of the audit trail with the integrity metadata needed to check it: the entries, their hash chain, and the signatures. It is built for someone outside your organization who needs to verify what happened without access to your workspace.

  1. Open Assurance in the Console for the tenant in question.
  2. Filter to the agents, decisions, or time range the request covers.
  3. Choose Export auditor package. The export runs in the background; the screen reports when it is ready and where to download it.

Owners and admins can export. The export itself is an audited action.

Part Purpose
Ledger entries The decisions, attributions, approvals, and enablement changes in scope
Chain metadata Each entry’s hash and its link to the previous entry
Signatures The tenant’s signing material so the chain can be checked independently
Content references Hashes of the content decisions were about, so an auditor can match content you provide separately without the package carrying it

The package demonstrates that the entries are complete for the range and unaltered since they were written, and that each decision was attributed to a principal and a version. Independent assurance beyond that depends on the anchor and key custody your environment uses; an offline verifier is planned, see Verify the ledger independently.
